Directions to Oakland Shooting Preserve

From Washington DC and I-95 North:

I-95 South to exit 130 B at Fredericksburg / Rt. 3 West.  Follow Route 3 West for 12 miles towards Culpeper.  Left onto Rt. 20 South for 13 miles. Left onto Rt. 522 South for 5 miles. Right onto Rt. 629 (Lahore Rd) for 2 miles. On your right you will see three white buildings and on your left an EXXON sign (no station). Turn Left (just past sign) onto Route 669 (Marquis Rd) and follow 1¼  miles to drive on Left (black mailbox #16253, Oakland sign).

From Richmond and I-95 South:

I-95 North to I-64 West / Exit 159 (Gum Springs).  Right at end of ramp onto Rt. 522 North for 34 miles to Rt. 629 (Lahore Road).  NOTE: after 15 miles, Rt. 522 joins Rt. 33 for ½ mile then bears to the right and continues as Rt. 522.  Left onto Rt. 629 (Lahore Rd) for 2 miles.  On your right are three white buildings and an EXXON sign (no station) on your left.  Turn Left (just past sign) onto Route 669 (Marquis Rd) and follow 1¼  miles to drive on Left (black mailbox #16253, Oakland sign).

From Culpeper:

Rt. 29 to Rt. 3 (Culpeper, Mineral, Commonwealth Park).  Rt. 3 East  & Rt. 522 East for ½ mile.  Right onto Rt. 522 South for 19 miles crossing Rt. 20. Right onto Rt. 629 (Lahore Road) for 2 miles.  Look for three white buildings on your right and an EXXON sign (no station) on your left.  Turn left onto Rt 669 (Marquis Rd) and follow 1 ¼ miles to drive on Left (black mailbox #16253, Oakland sign).

From Charlottesville:

I-64 East to Exit / Rt. 15 (Rt. 15 & Boswell Tavern).  Rt. 15 North through Gordonsville to Orange.   NOTE: Rotary in Gordonsville. It is  approximately 8 miles from Gordonsville to Orange.  Follow Rt. 15 to Orange.  Right onto Rt. 20.  Follow Rt. 20 to Rt. 629 (Lahore Rd.).  Right onto Rt. 629 (Lahore Road) to Rt. 669 (Marquis Road).  Look for 3 white buildings on the left and an EXXON sign on the right.  Right onto Rt. 669 (Marquis Rd.) and follow for 1 ¼ miles to drive on Left (black mailbox #16253, Oakland sign).
